New Senior Student Team Appointed for 2017 to 2018

The Clere School is pleased to announce its new Head Boy, Matt Partridge and Head Girl, Abbie Mills. They will be supported by Joseph Whiteman as Deputy Head Boy and Rebecca Hedger as Deputy Head Girl.

A large number of pupils from the year group applied for the much sought after position of Head Boy and Head Girl. The quality of applications was outstanding, and selecting a shortlist for interview was extremely difficult. All of the candidates interviewed were exceptionally strong and it was a very difficult choice for Headteacher Benjamin Bond and the interviewing team. All offered very positive ideas of how to become involved in the future of their school. The successful candidates were selected as they were confident young people who epitomise the outstanding ethos of The Clere School.

"I am so delighted to have been appointed to the position of Head Girl, after going through a difficult, yet beneficial selection process. I am really looking forward to representing the school and working with such a great student leadership team" says newly appointed Head Girl, Abbie Mills.

“To get this position is a huge honour” added new Head Boy, Matt Partridge. “Everyone who applied went through a rigorous selection process set up like a job interview as well as a three minute presentation about the school, which was really hard to do. Everyone did really well in those, so I am really happy I got the role. When we take over in June, it will be our job to make sure everyone at The Clere can have their say on what they think about the school, and to act on those opinions to make the school a better place. I believe that with me as Head Boy, Abbie as Head Girl, and Joe Whiteman and Becca Hedger as Deputies, we can do that.”

The Senior Student team will be supported by a strong team of senior prefects, selected to carry out a series of duties and work with the other year groups across the school.
