Clere Support for BBC Children in Need
Thank you to students and staff at the Clere School who raised over £940 for BBC Children in Need on Thursday 24th November.
As well as it being a non-uniform day, students sold Pudsey merchandise and cakes throughout the day, and were excited to become ‘Apprentice-style entrepreneurs’ in the afternoon. Every tutor group brainstormed fundraising ideas and ran their best money-making schemes during the last period of the day.
Students were extremely enthusiastic about their ideas, and created a wide range of fun and engaging activities including guess the name of the bear, flip the bottle, pin the tie on the teacher, throw sponges at Donald Trump’s face, fortune telling, a Pudsey photo both …… and lots more.
Matt Finnegan, Year 10 Progress Leader at The Clere and organiser of the event said “As always, we are delighted with the effort and level of enthusiasm from all of the students this year. Tutor groups did a fantastic job of thinking up and planning their ideas. Thank you to everyone for getting involved and supporting BBC Children in Need.”
