Clere Pupils Reach New Heights on Ski Trip

A group of 17 pupils recently went to Prato Nevoso in Italy, where they conquered the slopes and the adverse weather conditions.

The ski trip experience for all of the pupils started in Southampton at the dry slope, where they learnt the basic skills needed for the slopes in Italy. The majority of the group were beginners. In Italy, pupils made excellent progress and coped very well with all of the different weather conditions from sun to heavy snow. The heavy snow made skiing incredibly difficult but all pupils managed to persevere with this.

There were various competitions for the pupils including a points competition and best Italian speakers. The week’s evening activities involved swimming, a quiz night, a games night and a presentation.

The pupils who went on this trip were an absolute delight to spend time with and the school received praise for not only their behaviour but also the eagerness and enthusiasm they put into their ski lessons.

Congratulations to all 17 pupils who received a ski grading and for taking part in a learning experience they will never forget.
