The annual Clere School Sports Day was this year won by Ladle!
On a day that saw the temperatures soar, The Clere students showed off what they could do in all manner of activities. The day started with Tug-o-War, rounders and tennis which saw teams and individuals attempt to make big early points gains against rival houses.
As the sun got higher, it was time for the beginning of the track and field events. With the long distance running events throwing up many great races, spectators were also treated to some great throws in the shot put, discus and javelin. The Clere also set about finding another long jump star as a large number of students tried their hand in the sand.
To round off the day it was the sprints! With a flurry of close races in the 100m the level of excitement continued to build. Then it was on to the relays as each house made a last ditched effort to earn more points to ensure they would take home the title.
However, as the final race was run it was Ladle that ran out the final winners on the day.
