The Clere School pays homage to Roald Dahl
Clere students and staff participated in a range of activities to celebrate what would have been Roald Dahl’s 100th birthday on Thursday 20th October. Students and staff dressed up as their favourite Roald Dahl character for a Dahlicious dress up/Stand Up to Cancer fundraising day. All those who dressed up looked fabulous, and the children had a great time! Summer Hannington (aka Violet Beauregarde the blueberry) won the dressing up competition. Lucie Brough won the Bogtrotter's Chocolate Cake-off. Students participated in and enjoyed a ridiculously hard Roald Dahl quiz!
£308.66 was raised which will be split between the Roald Dahl Marvellous Children's Charity, which helps provide Roald Dahl nurses and family support to children in the UK living with a serious illness, and the Stand up to Cancer charity.
