Dear Parent/Carer
Ofsted Inspection – 21st and 22nd May 2019
“This is a Good School”
As you will be aware, The Clere School was inspected by Ofsted for two days this term and I am delighted to announce that we are a “Good” school in all areas.
Since the last inspection, I have met many parents who all share the same desire for The Clere to be a great school, with many parents commenting on the improvements since 2017 and much of this is reflected in this inspection report. I would like to thank my colleagues, the pupils, the parents, the Governors and the whole school community for their determination, commitment and dedication to our school in achieving this improvement.
The Inspectors made so many positive comments it is difficult to highlight them all. However, they made particular mention of:
Furthermore, as many of you will know I have been continually striving to raise expectations of what we can achieve at The Clere School and this was recognised by the Inspection team; “The headteacher’s uncompromising vision and high expectations of what pupils can achieve in all aspects of their education has been at the heart of the school’s improvement”.
It is important that The Clere is able to achieve sustainable success and this report shows that we are achieving this through collectively working together in the best interests of our pupils. I will be sharing more comments from the report in my end of term Newsletter.
Whilst we want to celebrate this success, we intend to build upon this to make sure The Clere School provides the best all round education possible and look forward to your continued support.
Yours sincerely
Benjamin Bond
Headteacher
