Site Manager

HOURS: Full Time DEADLINE EXPIRED

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person who is proactive and hard working to lead the Site Team.  The successful candidate will take personal pride in the appearance of the school site both inside and outside.   The position is for 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year (with 24 days of annual leave rising to 27 days after 5 years’ service).  The site team work two different shifts which will be discussed at interview.

The Site Manager will be a core part of The Clere staff team, responsible for keeping our site tidy, safe and secure.  We are a rural secondary school set in beautiful grounds. This is a highly rewarding job and you will be working alongside committed staff and governors. 

The successful candidate will:

have experience of health and safety protocols and compliance;
be a problem-solver with strong practical DIY skills;
be proficient with IT; emails, Microsoft 365 programmes, etc.
be creative, open-minded and adaptable;
be able to work as part of a team;
have a good sense of humour.

Science Technician

HOURS: Part time, term time only, 30 hours per week DEADLINE 02 May 2024

We are seeking someone to manage the preparation and setting up of apparatus for science experiments and demonstrations, general classroom assistance.  They will have responsibility for pre-room management, as directed by the Curriculum Leader of Science.  

This is a diverse and interesting role and may include some pupil supervision.  The successful candidate will need to be well organised and have previous experience either in a school or other laboratory work.  Dependent on previous experience we would consider offering this as a Senior Science Technical role on Grade D.

Examination Invigilator

HOURS: Casual DEADLINE 02 May 2024

We are seeking Examination Invigilators; full training will be provided. The successful candidates will have a calm, authoritative manner, be a good communicator, and have a flexible attitude to work.  You should be interested in education and enjoy helping students and be punctual and reliable.

We pay an hourly rate of £11.98 for an Invigilator and this rate increases if you are carrying out reading and scribing or are asked to lead a session.

The role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
